Uncoupled Formulation
Single-phase solid mechanics

Uncoupled (Single-Phase) Formulation
Use when you want a mechanically focused solve without explicit pore-pressure evolution.
Checklist
- Units and scaling are consistent (E, loads, density).
- Boundary conditions remove rigid body modes.
- Mesh is refined where gradients are expected.
Common outputs to sanity-check
- Reaction forces / equilibrium.
- Stress sign convention (compression negative, if configured that way).
- Convergence sensitivity to load stepping.
